Stadtmuseum Conradtyhaus / Untere Conradty-Siedlung

Built around 1900

Architect: Hans Fourné

Conrad Conradty's residential development, which has been erected for his workmen, consists of twelve identically designed buildings. Four families each housed on two floors. Each residential unit was assigned a usable garden unit in the exterior of the building. Outbuildings housed laundry and sanitary facilities. The renovated workplace settlement forms the historical framework for the listed brick building which now serves as a city museum. The construction, which has been renovated and restored from 2007-2008, exemplifies the situation of the settlement buildings at the time of construction.
